Driving in Savannah: Vehicles in the Squares have the right of way. Yield entering or exiting all squares.
Parking meters only need to be fed 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday in Savannah. On Tybee, feed the meters 8am-8pm, 365 days per year.

Like New Orleans, you may drink alcohol on the streets of historic downtown Savannah as long as it is in a plastic cup and it's under 12 or 16 ounces (I forget the exact limit). Do not be alarmed if the barman asks you if you want your drink to go. Technically this only applies to streets from Jones north (towards the river), but you will see it throughout downtown.

Do not pick up the Spanish Moss on the ground!  It may have chiggers. You don't want to find out about chiggers. Do not pick the Spanish Moss from the trees. Because what did it ever do to you?
